NATURE AND ENVIRONMENT INTERPRETATION CENTERS

Manche has a whole host of facilities for visiting its natural heritage, including interpretation centers on themes such as migrating birds, Mont St Michel Bay, the coast and environment, rivers and other sites.

MAJOR HIKING TRAILS

Long-distance hikers will enjoy the major hiking trails which are waymarked for your convenience. There are hies for lovers of the sea taking in sites such as Utah beach, Barfleur, Cherbourg harbour, and the Bay of Mont St Michel to name a few.

GREENWAYS OF LA MANCHE

Rambling trails give strollers and hikers the opportunity to walk within ideal surroundings. Converted from disused railway tracks and towpaths, these paths are a delight to discover.

THE ROADS TO ST MONT MICHEL

In the middle ages, the Mont St Michel was one of the great centres of Christian pilgrimage. These ancient pilgrimage routes have been rediscovered. Today several waymarked itineraries lead to the Mont St Michel.

SHORT HIKING TRAILS

These circular, waymarked walks and hikes last 1 to 6 hours. There are 51 trails between 4 and 22km long in La Manche with 27 trails of between 7 and 30km in the Regional Park where we are located.
